Step 1-A Step 1-B Step 1-C

STEP 1: Measure and cut out plastic.
Carefully measure the body to be lined. Take that measurement and subtract for expansion (see chart below). Unroll plastic lining, square it, mark off what is needed and cut it off with a skill saw. Now flip the plastic over so the natural curve is down. Mark the center of both ends of the plastic. Measure and cut out for the front of the box.

Step 2-A Step 2-B Step 2-C Step 2-D

STEP 2: Tie up in a "U" shaped fashion, slide into box and center.
Carefully drill 1" holes near the edge of the plastic lining to hook a come-along or related tool to enable you to tie-up in a "U" shape fashion (for 10' wide material only). There should be a hold drilled on each side of the plastic for every 8' of plastic installed. (If 8' wide material is being installed use rope or cargo straps to tie up). After plastic is in the box, center it by using a come-along or simply by pushing and pulling into place. (It is very important that the plastic is centered in the box). After plastic is in and centered, hold it in place with clamps or a few self-tapping screws.

Step 3-A

STEP 3: Fasten plastic lining, jack down plastic and put cover strips on.
Fasten plastic lining leading edge down with self-tapping screws spacing them 5"-6" apart. Drill and place 7/16" carriage bolts with our special hold down washers as pictured above. (If installing 8' wide material, caulk front and you are complete). Use cargo jacks and port-o-powers in order to drive plastic into the corners. It is very important to jack the plastic down as far as possible to reassure that the plastic will not come Step 3-Bout from under the coverstrip once the box is loaded. After plastic is jacked down, you may put the coverstrip on. Fasten the coverstrip by using the self-tapping screws, screwing through the side posts of the trailer. It may be necessary to put 1/4" bolts through the wall in between the posts if the wall is dented in.

Step 3-C

Step 4-A Step 4-B Step 4-C

STEP 4: Caulk front and coverstrip/optional welding of pieces to the front.
Clean out box and caulk the front in order to keep any fine materials from getting underneath the plastic. This is also necessary to do on the coverstrip's top edge. In some applications, it may be desired to put plastic on the front. In this case, as shown above, a plastic welder is available for rent. 8' wide material will need a hold down strap in order to keep the plastic down and centered. Note: do not bolt tight, allow plastic to move. (Expand and contract.)
